MEET THE TEAM

ZAINAB ALMAKHEDHI
Co-President/Founder
Hey everyone! I'm Zainab Almakhedhi, honored to be one of your Co-Presidents and Founders of the Engage for Change Volunteering Club! My role in this initiative is to lead our executive and full club meetings, overseeing other officers' tasks, brainstorming volunteering opportunities, and collaborating effectively as a team. As one of your CEOs, I am primarily responsible for delegating how the club is proceeded, expanding membership, creating volunteering project ideas, and building a community of leaders. Engage for Change is a way for members to give back to the community, gain volunteering experience in all types of settings, and acquire leadership and character skills necessary for any field. Moreover, in addition, to Engage for Change, I have leadership involvement in organizations such as DETSA State Secretary, Mentor for Girls Tech Together and Vice President of Business Professionals of America.

KAREN NETTO
Co-President/Founder
Hello Engage for Change Volunteering Club! My name is Karen Netto, and I am delighted to be serving as your Co-Founder and Co-President. My role in this organization is to preside at all meetings, serve as the official representative of our club, and provide structure and direction to accomplish our club's short and long-term goals. Therefore, the things I am in charge of are organizing all club activities and volunteering-based projects, while delegating tasks and communicating with our officer team. The one thing I enjoy most about Engage for Change is having the opportunity to give back to the community through the service projects we do for local organizations, while developing my leadership skills of integrity, accountability, and vision. In addition to EFC, you can find me participating in the Technology Student Association, AppilyDay Delaware, Science Olympiad, National Honor Society, and Taekwondo. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, thoughts, or comments you may have!

SIYA BRAHMBHATT
VP of Leadership
Hello! I am Siya Brahmbhatt and I am the Vice President of Leadership at Engaged for Change. Some of the things I do include overseeing all volunteer activities, making sure hours are collected, and keeping the club organized! Something I enjoy about the club is that it is for everybody and it includes various opportunities of volunteering in various aspects!

EMILY WISDO
VP of Development
Hi everyone! I’m Emily Wisdo, a current junior at MOT Charter High School. In the club Engage for Change I am the VP of Development. The VP of Development is the member who is in charge of reaching out to local organizations, researching volunteering opportunities, and using spreadsheets/documents. I love having this role and seeing us all come together as a community to make a change!

NIRA PATEL
VP of Marketing
Hello everyone! I'm the Vice President of Marketing at Engage For Change. My role is to create all the graphics the club might need. These include Instagram posts, flyers, certificates, and many more. I also lead certain volunteering opportunities and help with other projects when needed. I enjoy being part of this club because I am passionate about giving back to the community and encouraging others do so as well.

SAMHITHA VALLURY
VP of Finance
As Vice President of Finance, my responsibilities center around managing the club’s funding and resources. This entails finding fundraising ideas and working out the logistics of them. I also take on any additional projects delegated to me and help create new projects for members, which includes reaching out to different organizations and adapting projects to meet the needs of our club. One of my favorite things about this club is seeing the creativity and effort members utilize when completing the various projects we take on.

YUVAKSHI KHANNA
VP of Hospitality
As the vice president of hospitality, I mainly focus on handling the connectivity between club members and the board itself. I am responsible for answering concerns and making students feel welcome. Additionally, I help put together submissions for the various volunteer projects the club has done throughout the school year. The main reason I enjoy being a member of this club is having the ability to contribute to my community by leading various projects. For example, I helped lead the project on making sexual assault awareness posters and presented it to the club. Leading this project got me to view the topic in a new light and inform other students about it as well.

SUKAINAH ALMAKHEDHI
Event Research Advisor
I am a sophmore at MOT Charter High School serving as EFC’s Project Research Advisor. As the Project Research Advisor, I try my best to look out for any possible projects or opportunities that would be added into the club, which then EFC volunteers would participate in. Those projects/opportunities range from awareness posters, to reading stories to little kids, and many more! My favorite part about this club is that no matter what project you participate in, they all have a meaning and purpose behind them.
